Astana, 3 October 2025. The Eurasian Development Bank's (EDB) Fund for Initiatives Fund has provided a grant to develop AI SuperCloud, an international digital platform and next-generation ecosystem for creating, testing and scaling artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
The financing agreement was signed between the EDB and the Park of Innovative Technologies (Astana Hub), an autonomous cluster fund, at the Digital Bridge 2025 international forum.
About the Project
AI SuperCloud is a cloud-based platform that combines key tools and services for developing AI solutions, from visual designers and model libraries to high-performance computing resources and automated deployment systems.
The project aims to create an open and accessible AI infrastructure for the entire Eurasian region to support startups and IT companies, as well as government and research organisations.
The platform will address four key objectives:
1. Democratising access to AI
The platform will lower barriers to entry and open up AI opportunities to a wide range of professionals, including analysts, product managers, startups and businesses.
A low-code/no-code user interface and visual designers will make it possible to build and test AI agents without programming skills, engaging teams across the region in developing solutions.
2. Creating a regional AI marketplace
The platform will provide a space for sharing off-the-shelf AI solutions.
Countries, companies and developers will be able to select proven solutions, use existing modules, adapt them to local needs, share their own developments and form a unified market for AI products
3. Faster piloting and scaling up
Through integration with CI/CD pipelines and the dynamic allocation of computing resources (CPU, memory and H100/H200 GPU pools), the platform will enable the rapid launch of pilot projects and their automatic scaling to production level. This will reduce the time from idea to implementation from days to hours.
4. Developing regional expertise
AI SuperCloud will also host training, hackathon and mentoring programmes. Specialised playgrounds will help form new AI teams in Central Asia. Regular training sessions, competitions and mentoring will both improve participants' skills and lay a solid foundation for the long-term development of human capital in the region.
In this way, AI SuperCloud will serve as a unified digital platform enabling startups, technology parks and companies across the region to quickly create and launch AI solutions.
Additional Information:
The EDB Fund for Digital Initiatives was established in June 2020. Its objective is to assist the EDB member states in creating digital transformation tools and practices by integrating their information resources and participating in the development and financing of projects. The Fund's flagship project is the COVID-19-Free Travel mobile app used in nine CIS countries.
The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is a multilateral development bank investing in Eurasia. For more than 19 years, the Bank has worked to strengthen and expand economic ties and foster comprehensive development in its member countries. By July 2025, the EDB's cumulative portfolio comprised 319 projects with a total investment of US $19.1 billion. The portfolio consists principally of projects with an integration effect in transport infrastructure, digital systems, green energy, agriculture, manufacturing and mechanical engineering. The Bank adheres to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and ESG principles in its operations.
The EDB is implementing three mega-projects as part of its 2022-2026 Strategy: the Central Asian Water and Energy Complex, the Eurasian Transport Network and the Eurasian Agricultural Goods Distribution System.
