Portion of Saddle Club Road to close PERMANENTLY for stormwater improvements

Roadway closes on Mon., Jan. 13

A portion of Saddle Club Road will be closed to through traffic permanently beginning Mon., Jan. 13. This permanent closure isfor the installation of stormwater improvements. This closure will not impact access to homes in the area, but residents may experience delays due to equipment and the installation process.

The project is anticipated to take 365 days to complete, weather permitting. In November 2023 Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners approved an agreement with the Florida Department of Emergency Management to accept $397,145 in federal funding to acquire and demolish the flood-prone structure at 6060 Saddle Club Road with no local match required. The structures on the property have since been demolished to allow for additional stormwater drainage capacity to alleviate repeated flooding and reduce the risk of flooding for residents in the area.

Motorists are asked to use caution in the area. Find a larger view of the map online at https://www.santarosa.fl.gov/ImageRepository/Document?documentID=8395.
