City Officials Assist with DAV Land Acquisition

The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Titusville Chapter 109, a non-profit organization, located at 435 North Singleton Avenue, has acquired adjacent property at no cost, after a 5-year effort from community members advocating on their behalf.

The adjacent vacant land, which is approximately 10,000 square feet and previously owned by Brevard County and maintained by this non-profit organization for years, is now officially owned by the DAV.

This effort was spearheaded by Titusville Mayor Andrew Connors and unanimously approved by all Council Members, including Vice Mayor Herman A. Cole, Jr., Col USAF Retired, Jo Lynn Nelson, Megan Moscoso, and Dr. Sarah Stoeckel.

According to DAV spokesperson Bob Walters, the property will be used to build additional resources for our local veterans.

"These veterans have given everything for our country, and they deserve our full support, said Mayor Connors. "By securing this donation, we've not only honored their service-we've empowered DAV Post 109 to expand their outreach, provide critical resources, and help even more veterans in our community," added Connors.
