Step right up for Sweetheart Ball with a festive carnival twist

The North Port Parks & Recreation Department invites families, friends and loved ones to an exciting evening at the Sweetheart Ball on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way.

This year's theme brings the magic of the carnival indoors with classic games, colorful crafts and a festive photo station to capture every special moment. Guests will enjoy a lively dance floor with a DJ keeping the energy high, filling the night with music, laughter, and memories, along with snacks and refreshments to keep the fun going all night long.

Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. Admission is $25 per couple and $10 for each additional person.

"This event is all about creating lasting memories with loved ones in a fun and welcoming environment," said Alex Romero, Recreation Coordinator. "The Sweetheart Ball is one of our favorite traditions, and we're thrilled to bring the joy of a carnival theme to this year's celebration."
