Montgomery Gears Up for Annual Back to School Bash

Montgomery families are invited to kick off the upcoming school year at one of the city's largest back-to-school celebrations. The annual Back to School Bash returns on Saturday, August 1, offering free resources, activities, and support to students as they prepare for a successful year ahead.

Hosted at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl, the event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and brings together a wide network of community partners, including City ofMontgomery Parks & Recreation, Young Men on a Mission, TyTalks 501(c)(3), Girls on F.I.R.E., Inc., CHANGE Nonprofit Organization, Montgomery County Probate, MPS, and several additional sponsors dedicated to uplifting local youth.

Families attending the event can expect a variety of free offerings designed to ease the transition back to school. Students will receive free school supplies, enjoy free food, and participate in games and activities throughout the morning. The event will also feature bike giveaways, prizes, and appearances from community vendors providing school-year resources and support services.

Organizers say the goal is simple: to ensure every student walks into their first day feeling prepared and encouraged. The Bash has become a staple in Montgomery, drawing large crowds each year and reinforcing the city's commitment to children and families.

With fun, food, and essential supplies all in one place, the Back to School Bash promises to be a vibrant community celebration-and a meaningful boost for students as they head into a new academic year.
