Chinese Consul General in Belfast Li Nan Visits Mid and East Antrim

On July 9, Consul General Li Nan paid an official visit to Mid and East Antrim and met with Mayor, Councillor Jackson Minford. The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening regional cooperation between China and Northern Ireland.

Consul General Li congratulated Cllr.Minford on his election and spoke positively about the development of Mid and East Antrim. He emphasized that regional cooperation is a key foundation of China-UK relations and expressed willingness to deepen exchanges and collaboration with the city in areas such as economic and trade, emerging industries, and promote more practical outcomes in the sister-city relationship between Mid and East Antrim and Donghai. The Consulate General is ready to play an active role to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two sides.

Cllr.Minford provided an overview of Mid and East Antrim and expressed his commitment to maintain close cooperation with the Chinese Consulate General and welcomed more Chinese enterprises to invest and engage in exchanges in the city, aiming for mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.

Accompanied by Cllr.Minford, Consul General Li also visited Ecos Hub, Hydrogen Safety Lab, and Slemish Market Garden.
