New News Technology Support Specialist in Video

We are thrilled to welcome Christopher Moore to the Video desk as a news technology support specialist.

Chris will be based in New York, helping to ensure that the Video department's technical workflows, resources, tools and technology are efficient, up-to-date and effective. He will work closely with video journalists, producers and editors to troubleshoot operational and technical issues, conduct training on production and post-production systems, and assist in the adoption of new tools.

Most recently Chris was a technical manager and director of photography for Lionsgate, and prior to that he worked in similar capacities for Entertainment One, Blackfin and part2 pictures. As a technical consultant, he has worked with dozens of production companies in the New York market to help ensure that their equipment is properly maintained and meets ever evolving production standards. Chris is also a documentary cinematographer with more than a decade behind the camera. He has shot footage for CNN, Al Jazeera, Vice, Discovery and many others.

Chris began his career in postproduction as a lead assistant editor for two productions on Al Jazeera English.
