Possibilities for the development of deeper international partnership in healthcare were the focal points of the meeting of Prime Minister Rumen Radev with eminent researchers, medics and experts in the field of medicine, health technologies and innovation. The meeting that was attended by Minister of Health Katya Ivkova was organized by the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade.
The meeting in the Government Headquarters discussed the experience and achievements of leading countries with reputation for efficient management and digital transformation of the healthcare system. Prominence was given to a number of advantages of the deeper cooperation with Bulgaria and of the implementation of pilot projects with a main focus on healthcare and high-quality medical service as a driving force of sustainable development of society and of economic growth.
Prime Minister Rumen Radev recognized healthcare as one of the Bulgarian cabinet's leading priorities. He noted specially, inter alia, the importance of preventive medicine. The Prime Minister also pointed out the need of full transparency of public resource spending in healthcare.
