As part of National Co-op Month, GVEA members can pick up a free digital smart timer or mechanical analog timer the week of Oct. 12.
Plugging in vehicles during Interior Alaska winters is a necessity, but leaving vehicles plugged in longer than needed can add to your electric use. A timer controls when power flows to your vehicle's weatherization equipment, helping limit how long it operates and avoid unnecessary energy use.
Timers can also be used for exterior lighting and other equipment that doesn't need to operate continuously.
Free Timers Available While Supplies Last
Beginning Monday, Oct. 12, members can choose from:
Timers will be available at the GVEA Member Services lobbies in Fairbanks and Delta, while supplies last. They will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

National Co-op Month is a time to recognize the benefits of being part of a member-owned cooperative. Providing practical tools and resources that help members manage energy use and costs is one way GVEA supports its members throughout the year.
Stop by a GVEA Member Services lobby beginning Oct. 12 to pick up a free timer while supplies last.
