Claude Opus 5.5 is now available on Amazon Bedrock and Claude Platform on AWS. Opus 5.5 is the first of Anthropic's new Claude 5.5 model family releases and its most capable Opus model, built for agentic coding, knowledge work, and long-running tasks. I t completes tasks using fewer tokens than Claude Opus 5, with lower cost per task as token efficiency and price reductions compound. Claude Opus 5.5 comes with safety classifiers and zero data retention by default on Amazon Bedrock.
Anthropic also announced Enterprise Frontier Safeguards, a solution that will give customers the option to safely deploy Anthropic's most capable models while keeping their data in cloud infrastructure they control.
Claude Fable 5.1 is now available on Amazon Bedrock and Claude Platform on AWS. Fable 5.1 is built to run demanding work end to end across software, documents, and research. It outperforms Fable 5 on Anthropic's most difficult evaluations. Anthropic has designated it a Covered Model-a category that carries additional data retention, safety review, and access policies.
