RE: Amador County Public Health Alerts Residents to Nationwide Recall of Certain Heart and Kidney Medications.

AMADOR COUNTY, CA- Amador County Public Health is notifying residents of a nationwide voluntary recall of certain lots of Corlanor® (ivabradine) and Sensipar® (cinacalcet), medications used to treat heart failure and kidney-related conditions.
The recall was issued by Amgen after quality concerns were identified during manufacturing. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified the recall as Class II, meaning the products may cause temporary or medically reversible health effects, with a low risk of serious harm.
Residents taking either medication should:
•Check the medication name and lot number on their prescription bottle.
•Contact their pharmacist or healthcare provider to determine if their medication is affected.
•Do not stop taking your medication without first consulting your healthcare provider.

Amador County Public Health encourages residents to stay informed and discuss any concerns with their healthcare provider or pharmacist.
For more information, visit the FDA Drug Recalls webpage or contact your healthcare provider.
