Chemung County Department of Social Services Honored with The Cura Award for Kinship Champion
The New York State Kincare Coalition has awarded the Chemung County Department of Social Services the esteemed Cura Award for outstanding performance as Kinship Champions. This prestigious honor recognizes organizations that significantly support and enhance kinship care within New York State.
Awarded annually since 2015, The Cura Award acknowledges the outstanding achievements and contributions of those involved with kinship care. This year, the Chemung County Department of Social Services was recognized with the Cura Award for Kinship Champion.
"We are incredibly honored to receive this award and to be recognized for our efforts in supporting kinship families," said Mindy Banfield, Commissioner of Human Services. "This award reflects the dedication of our team and partners who work tirelessly to provide these families with the care, stability, and assistance they deserve."
