AUGUSTA, GA (December 3, 2025) - Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) holiday travelers will enjoy the sights and sounds of the season as they travel through the terminal this holiday season.
Beginning Thursday, December 19th, local talent will fill the Airport with holiday cheer in the baggage claim. This year's performers will be Fred Williams, JaVonne Jones, Matthew Dahlheimer, Bill Karp, and Josephine Johnson.
Santa will also make an appearance on December 15th-18th. Santa will be waiting to see everyone in the baggage claim in the terminal building from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
For the holiday season, the Airport will again conduct its fifth annual sweepstakes to win two free round-trip tickets on American Airlines from Augusta to Washington D.C. (DCA). This sweepstake requires registrants to apply online. The winner will be randomly selected on December 19, 2025, and will have until June 2026 to use the tickets. For details on the sweepstakes, please visit our website, www.FlyAGS.com.
"As we culminate another successful year, we are grateful to all who have patronized AGS. However, we are also focused on serving the entire community- whether or not they use the Airport." Said Herbert L. Judon, Jr., Airport Executive Director.
"For the 2025 Holiday Season, we are excited to again welcome Santa and the other seasonal events to our local Airport. Hopefully, the AGS Airport environment can bring cheer and relaxation to your experience, alleviating some of the stress associated with travel.
We also strongly encourage individuals to compete for the free Washington, DC airline tickets. We have conducted this giveaway for several years now. It presents a great opportunity to visit our Nation's capital as well as experience one of our non-stop destinations. In just over one hour flying time, you can travel from Augusta to Washington, DC. The Airport wants to continue to promote and sustain the Washington, DC service as it is arguably our most essential route and perhaps a linchpin for future growth."
