Public reception for 'Salmon Culture' art exhibition, Oct. 10

The Department of Art invites students and employees to join them for the public reception and celebration for 'Salmon Culture' on Friday, Oct. 10.

'Salmon Culture' elebrates the connections between salmon and Alaska Native peoples throughout contemporary, historical and archaeological works of art. This exhibition honors salmon as a resource that has nourished our communities physically and spiritually for thousands of years. The exhibition features the work of more than 20 Indigenous Alaskan artists. The reception is free, open to the public, with free parking and light refreshments served. All are welcome!
