Presidents of Ukraine and Moldova Discussed Bilateral Cooperation and a Shared Path Toward European Union Membership

In The Hague, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with President of Moldova Maia Sandu.

The Head of State thanked Moldova for its support and readiness to deepen cooperation. The leaders discussed potential areas of partnership and agreed on further contacts.

The President of Ukraine spoke about the progress of negotiations with American and European partners aimed at achieving a dignified peace, ensuring security, and rebuilding Ukraine after the end of the war.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Maia Sandu also discussed maintaining pressure on Russia and countering all possible manifestations of Russian threats.

Particular attention was paid to the countries' shared path toward membership in the European Union. The Head of State emphasized that further progress by Ukraine and Moldova must be simultaneous and closely coordinated.
