Defence Minister Pirro Vengu, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, participated in the ceremony for the appointment of Brigadier General Altin Kurti as the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces and the promotion of 15 new colonels in the Armed Forces.
Minister Vengu described the event as a special day and praised the dedication of the officers in fulfilling their duties.
"These 15 new colonels further strengthen and enhance the quality of our forces, who remain committed to safeguarding the country's security and raising the Albanian flag in international missions and tasks. The growth of the Armed Forces is not only in numbers but also in quality, with investment in human capital remaining a top priority for the Ministry of Defense." - Minister Vengu said.
The ceremony highlighted the ongoing commitment to improving the skills and professional training of military personnel, making the Armed Forces stronger and better prepared for various challenges. This significant moment marks an important step forward in the advancement of national security and defense.
