Dane Snyder, MD, has assumed the role of associate chief medical officer for Ambulatory Services at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
(COLUMBUS, Ohio) - Dane Snyder, MD, has assumed the role of associate chief medical officer for Ambulatory Services at Nationwide Children's Hospital, effective January 1.
Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Snyder served as section chief of Primary Care Pediatrics for the past eight years, demonstrating a deep commitment to patient and family experience, as well as to the faculty and staff across Nationwide Children's Primary Care Network. Under his leadership, the network grew from 12 to 14 sites, with annual patient volume increasing by one-third to 250,000 patient visits per year.
"Dr. Snyder's unwavering focus on quality and access has led to innovative initiatives, including improving patient-provider continuity and integrating subspecialty services into the primary care setting," said Catherine D. Krawczeski, MD, physician-in-chief and chief medical officer at Nationwide Children's. "In addition to his section chief role, Dr. Snyder has played a key role in advancing operations across our expanding specialty clinic network, improving access, and developing our online scheduling capabilities. These experiences position him well for success in his new role, and I look forward to the continued positive impact he will have on our patients, families, and team members."
Dr. Snyder also served as medical director of Ambulatory Services at Nationwide Children's and is a professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. In addition to his administrative duties, he provides direct patient care and precepts pediatric residents at Nationwide Children's Hilltop Primary Care Center. Dr. Snyder's interests include operational excellence, system-driven quality improvement and resident education. Dr. Snyder is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Succeeding Dr. Snyder, Dr. Skyler Kalady has been named section chief of Primary Care Pediatrics, also effective January 1. Since joining Nationwide Children's in 2021, Dr. Kalady has served as medical director of telehealth and has been involved in a wide variety of quality-improvement efforts. Prior to joining Nationwide Children's, Dr. Kalady served as section head of main campus primary care and medical director of pediatric complex care at the Cleveland Clinic.
