Everytown for Gun Safety Victory Fund Ran a More Than $43 Million Paid Media Campaign Focused on Moms Demand Action Volunteers in Must-Win Battleground U.S. House Districts
Everytown Supporters, Alongside Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action Volunteers, Made More Than 15 Million Voter Contacts To Support Gun Safety Candidates
WASHINGTON - Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund and its grassroots networks, Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action, declared a major victory today as voters elected Jared Moskowitz to represent Florida's 25th Congressional District.
"Jared Moskowitz helped pass Florida's school safety law after the mass shooting at his alma mater, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and he hasn't stopped fighting for safer communities since," said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. "Everytown is thrilled South Florida voters just sent him back to Washington, and we look forward to continuing our work together."
"Florida volunteers have known Jared Moskowitz as a partner since the days after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, when he helped turn grief into action in Tallahassee," said Angela Ferrell-Zabala, executive director of Moms Demand Action. "Our volunteers were glad to help keep him in Congress, and we'll be with him as he keeps up the fight to protect South Florida families."
"Jared Moskowitz has shown up for South Florida families for years, and he's never been afraid to fight for gun safety," said Wendy Tenn, a volunteer with the Florida chapter of Moms Demand Action. "As parents, we've seen firsthand what his work on school safety has meant for our kids, and this election, we made sure our neighbors knew it too. We couldn't be happier to see him re-elected, and we're ready to keep working alongside him to protect our communities."
Establishing a gun safety majority in the House was Everytown's top federal priority this cycle. Everytown for Gun Safety Victory Fund invested more than $43 million in House races to elect former volunteers in eight of the most competitive districts in the country: AZ-06, FL-22, IA-01, IA-02, IA-03, MI-08, MI-10 and PA-08 - all carried by President Trump in 2024. Everytown also backed gun safety champion Rep. Jared Moskowitz in Florida's 25th District. Working closely with House Majority PAC, the program highlighted the strong public safety records of endorsed candidates and the threat MAGA extremists pose to commonsense gun safety laws and our communities. Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action volunteers made more than 15 million voter contacts in support of gun safety candidates up and down the ballot.
