Veteran banker further strengthens the Firm's capital structure solutions and restructuring capabilities
New York, August 24, 2026 - Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Russell Mason as a Managing Director in its Capital Structure Advisory Group. Based in Dallas, Russell will advise companies and creditors on complex restructuring and capital structure matters.

"Clients are increasingly evaluating a broader range of solutions to address complex capital structures, often well before a traditional restructuring becomes necessary," said Barak Klein and Zul Jamal, Co-Heads of U.S. Capital Structure Advisory at Moelis. "Russell's experience across restructuring, M&A and capital raising complements our existing capabilities and strengthens our ability to help clients evaluate their options and identify the right path forward."
Navid Mahmoodzadegan, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Moelis, said, "Russell is an exceptional banker with deep client relationships and a strong track record of advising on complex and transformative situations. His breadth of experience and perspective will make him a tremendous addition to the Capital Structure Advisory team and further strengthen the advice we deliver across the Firm."
