YATP Community Musical Theatre Workshop

Our Productions Theatre Co.'s Young Artist Training Program (YATP) presents the first of two Community Musical Theatre Workshops on Saturday, Oct. 4, 1:30 p.m., at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street. Join the amazing YATP faculty and current students as they host youth upper elementary ages through 10th graders in a fun workshop for vocal tech, movement, and acting. Attendees will learn some technique pointers from some of the best coaches in the business. This workshop is for students in grades 4-10. Entry fee is $25 and advanced registration is required. This event is sponsored in part by the City of Lewisville, Town of Flower Mound, Fichtenbaum Charitable Trust, and the Texas Commission on the Arts. A second workshop is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026. Our Productions Theatre Company is one of 10 local groups receiving funding from the City of Lewisville through a grant program designed to foster cultural and fine arts in the community. The Grand is Lewisville's home for the arts. It presents a variety of regional and national touring performers, art exhibits, and classes, while also giving the many arts groups in the greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works. Its multiple performance spaces play host to a variety of events including live music, theater, dance performances, comedy shows, and more. The center features the 294-seat Huffines Performance Hall, black box theater, recital hall, art gallery, and courtyard. To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center. Please be aware that there is heavy road construction at the Main Street interchange with I-35E that will cause delays.
