Baton Rouge, LA - January 20, 2025 - In response to freezing temperatures, the Capital Area Transit System (CATS) will provide complimentary transportation to designated warming centers and shelters to ensure the safety and well-being of residents in need.
The following shelters are available:

Leo S. Butler Community Center (Open Now)

Harmony Center Family Shelter (Open Now)

Mayor-President Edwards emphasized the city's commitment to community safety during extreme weather events, stating:
