Lane closure on Kalanianaʻole Highway fronting Waiʻalae Iki soccer field beginning Wednesday, Sept. 2
Posted on Sep 1, 2026 in Highways News, Main, NewsHONOLULU - The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) notifies highway users of a right lane closure of Kalanianaʻole Highway in the westbound direction fronting the Waiʻalae Iki Soccer Field, on Tuesday Wednesday, Sept. 2, Wednesday Thursday, Sept. 3, and Tuesday Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to repair a fence.
The crew will be reparing the 100 ft. portion of fence that was damaged during Lala and is currently leaning toward the highway bordering the soccer field.
This closure will also be listed on the Oʻahu Lane Closure List here, https://hidot.hawaii.gov/highways/roadwork/oahu/ Work is weather permitting.
