Ringgold, Ga. - U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock are strengthening health care across metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver health care upgrades for metro Atlanta and North Georgia communities, including hospital technology upgrades in Ringgold, health care education opportunities in Dahlonega, NICU upgrades in Atlanta, and more.
Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering funding for the projects through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.
"There's no worse nightmare for any family than having a loved one who's sick, but who cannot get the health care they need," Sen. Ossoff said. "That's why Senator Reverend Warnock and I brought Republicans and Democrats together to strengthen health care services for Georgia families."
"I've long fought to strengthen health care in Georgia, and I am proud to have worked alongside Senator Ossoff to secure federal funding for these vital projects across metro Atlanta," said Senator Warnock.

"CommonSpirit - Memorial Hospital is sincerely appreciative of Sens. Warnock and Ossoff's unwavering support for our North Georgia hospital in Ringgold, including their leadership in securing $964,000 for the project through the Fiscal Year 2026 federal appropriations bill," said Janelle Reilly, market president, CommonSpirit, Tennessee and Georgia. "Since welcoming our first patients in January 2026, our new 64-bed, state-of-the-art hospital has expanded access to high-quality, innovative care for families across Catoosa County and the surrounding communities of Walker and Dade Counties. This important federal investment will help turn a bold vision into reality and is already making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. We are proud to continue working alongside Sens. Warnock and Ossoff to advance the health and well-being of North Georgia now and into the future."
"Improving healthcare workforce readiness in rural North Georgia is not just an academic goal. It is an economic and community imperative," said University of North Georgia Dean Carolynn DeSandre. "This investment will expand hands-on training and increase the number of healthcare professionals prepared to serve in high-need communities across our region. We are grateful to Senator Ossoff and Senator Warnock for their partnership in strengthening Georgia's rural healthcare system."
"We are grateful to Senators Ossoff and Warnock for their commitment to expanding access to high-quality neonatal care in our community. This investment will allow Emory Decatur Hospital to care for more of our most vulnerable patients while keeping families closer to home during a critical time. We are proud to partner in strengthening care for Georgia's youngest patients and their families," said Jennifer Shuck, CEO of Emory Decatur Hospital.
"Senators Ossoff and Warnock's investment in public health infrastructure is a transformative step for families across South Cobb County and our broader region. This new S. Cobb Public Health Campus will expand access to essential services-from prenatal care support and immunizations to mental health and primary care-ensuring that more residents can get the care they need, when and where they need it," said Lisa Crossman, MS, Deputy Director, Cobb & Douglas Public Health and Executive Director, Cobb & Douglas Health Foundation.
"We are beyond grateful for the support of Senators Ossoff and Warnock in expanding our diaper distribution program for the greater Athens area. Diaper access is critical for the physical health of children, caregiver access to the workforce, and general family well-being. With nearly 1 in 2 families struggling to afford enough diapers, expanding diaper access is a critical investment that will strengthen families and our entire community," said Erin Campbell, Executive Director, Athens Area Diaper Bank.
