REALITY CHECK: Vivek Ramaswamy ❤️ Data Centers

August 6, 2026

Columbus, Ohio- Unsurprisingly, Vivek Ramaswamy is lying again while data centers are driving costs even higher for Ohioans in communities around the state. In a desperate attempt to stop Ohioans from learning that he is the pro-data center candidate in this race, Ramaswamy has come out with yet another scam policy while refusing to join Dr. Amy Acton's call for a conditional data center moratorium.

Ramaswamy has millions invested in data centers and is once again putting his financial portfolio ahead of the needs of Ohioans. He has repeatedly said he wants more data centers in Ohio and praised them as "good" and a "good thing." In just over one month, he praised data centers on 10 separate occasions.

Ramaswamy even flew to Utah to keynote a conference on "accelerating the AI data center buildout." His running mate voted for legislation that made Ohio more attractive to data centers and said "It's to Ohio's benefit to have data centers."

"Vivek Ramaswamy can't stop lying about his data center scam that would line his own pockets while raising costs for Ohioans. Ohioans already know we can't believe a word he says. The truth is Ramaswamy is the pro-data center candidate who would raise costs for Ohioans while making more money for himself," said Ohio Democratic Party spokeswoman Katie Seewer.
