Millersburg, Pa. - October 1, 2026. Mid Penn Bank (the "Bank"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. ("Mid Penn") (NASDAQ: MPB), is proud to announce its construction financing of a Turn the Key affordable housing development in Philadelphia's Brewerytown neighborhood. A Sept. 30 groundbreaking at 1424 N. Hollywood St. marked the start of construction on 10 single-family homes and brought together Jordan Parisse-Ferrarini of Northwest Development Group, Mid Penn Bank First Senior Vice President and Central Philadelphia Regional President Abe Ibrahim, and members of Ibrahim's team.
Ibrahim led the Bank's approximately $1.9 million construction financing for the $2.38 million project, which also includes approximately $451,000 from the Philadelphia Accelerator Fund and developer equity. The project will include seven homes on North Hollywood Street and three additional homes, one each on North Newkirk, North Etting and North Dover streets. Each home will be approximately 1,200 square feet, with an anticipated sale price of $280,000 and projected market value of $385,000. Construction is expected to be completed in spring 2027. The CRA-qualified project is part of the Bank's ongoing support of affordable housing initiatives that help create more opportunities for homeownership across its service areas.
"Projects like this are why we're committed to building our presence in Philadelphia. Jordan is bringing his experience and commitment to the city to a development that will make homeownership possible for more families," Ibrahim said. "We're proud to provide the financing and work alongside partners who share that commitment."
The homes are being developed through the City of Philadelphia's Turn the Key program, which helps income-qualified, first-time homebuyers purchase newly constructed homes on publicly owned land. Eligible buyers may receive mortgage buydown and closing cost assistance, subject to program requirements, and must complete approved homeownership counseling.
Parisse-Ferrarini is a Philadelphia native and builder, developer and educator whose work includes affordable housing, workforce development and construction training. He has contributed to the development of more than 100 housing units and has also established programs focused on construction education and opportunities within the skilled trades.
