Cardinal Health's Debbie Weitzman and Value Drug Company's Rick Seipp to Lead HDA Board Of Directors

The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) announced today that Debbie Weitzman, chief executive officer, pharmaceutical and specialty solutions, Cardinal Health, was elected chair of the association's Board of Directors. Rick Seipp, president and chief executive officer of Value Drug Company, will serve as vice chair.

Weitzman, who most recently served as vice chair of the HDA Board of Directors, succeeds Jody Hatcher, chief executive officer of Morris & Dickson.

"Debbie and Rick bring deep industry experience and a strong understanding of the issues facing pharmaceutical distributors today," said Chester "Chip" Davis, Jr., HDA president and chief executive officer. "Their leadership will be especially valuable in the new Congress and in the upcoming state legislative sessions as HDA advances a policy agenda that prioritizes a stronger, patient-centric pharmaceutical supply chain."

Weitzman is a seasoned healthcare executive with a proven track record of advancing a safe, efficient, and patient-centered pharmaceutical supply chain. Throughout her 20-year career at Cardinal Health, she has driven operational excellence through key leadership roles. She has been a member of HDA's Executive Committee since 2022.

Seipp brings experience across pharmaceutical distribution and pharmacy operations. Before becoming president and CEO of Value Drug Company, he held pharmacy leadership roles at Weis Markets and Rite Aid.
