A pair of events are scheduled this week as part of UToledo's celebration of National Arab American Heritage Month.
• Today, April 23: Student Presentations: "From the Arab Countries." This showcase of student research is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Memorial Field House Room 2420.
• Friday, April 25: Mental Health Panel Discussion. In collaboration with NAMI Toledo, this event will take place at the Almadina Community Center from 5 to 8 p.m. and will address mental health in the Arab American communities.
"We invite students, faculty and the public to participate in these events, honoring the rich contributions of Arab Americans," said Dr. Gaby Semaan, director of Middle East Studies and Arabic programs at The University of Toledo.
