Augusta, Georgia Government Holiday Schedule for Veterans Day

Veterans Day 2025

AUGUSTA - (November 7, 2025) - In recognition of Veterans Day, most of Augusta, Georgia's government offices will be closed Tuesday, November 11, 2025, for the holiday. Below is a list of operating hours for key services:

The Augusta Municipal Building - The Augusta Municipal Building will be closed on Veterans Day. The facility will reopen during normal business hours on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Augusta 311 - The Augusta 311 Center will be open from 8:30 am- 5 pm on Veterans Day.

Augusta Transit - Augusta Transit will operate on a regular schedule for Veterans Day.

Augusta Utilities - All Augusta Utilities offices, including both Customer Service locations, will be closed on Veterans Day. Offices will resume normal operating hours of 8:30 am-5 pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. If there is an emergency not related to billing, please call 706-842-3060.

Augusta Landfill - Augusta Landfill will continue normal operating hours on Veterans Day.

Garbage Collection - Garbage collection will continue normal operating hours on Veterans Day.

Recreation & Parks Department - The Administrative office, all community centers, athletic and rental offices, the Augusta Aquatic Center, the Henry H. Brigham Swim Center, and cemetery offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day. Newman Tennis Center will operate on its regular schedule. All public parks, cemeteries, and outdoor tennis courts will remain open from dawn to dusk. Normal operating hours will resume on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
