Georgia College & State University Parking Services will be implementing the first phase of a new campus parking plan to best accommodate parking permit holders and utilize all available parking spaces. These changes will have several benefits, including guaranteed parking for paying employees.
Beginning May 2 at 2 p.m., employees will be able to register for parking permits for the upcoming academic year at georgiacollege.aimsparking.com/. Parking registration can be completed using any computer or wireless device.
Employees will be able to select a $240 parking permit which grants access to all employee designated lots or a $50 parking permit which grants access to the Irwin Street parking lot. A limited quantity of $240 permits will be available on a first come, first served basis. Limiting the quantity of available permits will help to secure parking lots for employees.
For employees that select the Irwin Street parking permit, shuttles will be available throughout the workday. Shuttles will serve the Irwin Street parking lot Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with shuttles running every 6-12 minutes. Employees are encouraged to download the PassioGo app to track shuttle schedules and locations.
In addition to the changes in policy, university leadership would like to remind all employees that they are not allowed to take time away from job duties to move vehicles from 2-hour city parking.
