Welltower Inc., Tanger Inc., and Starwood Property Trust, Inc. Earn Top Honors in 2026 Investor CARE Awards

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 2, 2026) - Nareit presented its 2026 Investor Communications and Reporting Excellence (CARE) Awards during this year's REITweek Conference. The annual awards recognize publicly traded Nareit corporate members for effective investor communications and comprehensive, clearly articulated reporting. This year's honorees include several repeat winners, including Welltower Inc., Prologis, Inc., UDR, Inc., Tanger Inc. and Starwood Property Trust, Inc, which is a 12-time Investor CARE Award recipient.

All U.S.-based publicly traded equity REITs and mortgage REITs (mREITs) are automatically considered based on their relevant activities during the 12 months before the award year. Winners are selected by a panel of analysts, portfolio managers, and academics who advise, study, and serve Nareit corporate members. The criteria include online presence, SEC filings, and investor relations practices, including website usability, data transparency, earnings calls, management accessibility, and press release quality.

• Gold: Starwood Property Trust, Inc. (NYSE: STWD)
