Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded recently responded to three structure fires.
Flora Avenue
At 5:51 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 500 block of Flora Avenue.
At the scene, crews found a well-involved fire with heavy smoke and flames coming from the house. Firefighters used a defensive strategy until it was safe to switch to offensive operations. Firefighters declared the fire under control at 6:39 a.m.
No injuries were reported. The City of Winnipeg's Emergency Social Services responded to the scene to provide temporary support for displaced residents.
The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
Alfred Avenue
At 1:46 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 1100 block of Alfred Avenue.
Firefighters attacked the fire and declared it under control shortly after arriving, Paramedics assessed two patients and transported them to hospital in stable condition.
The fire is under investigation.
Sherbrook Street
At 7:22 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in multi-unit building in the 500 block of Sherbrook Street.
At the scene, crews found smoke coming from the building. Firefighters attacked the fire and declared it under control at 7:46 a.m.
No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
