Willkie advised Slingshot USA in connection with the sale of the David animated film and TV franchise to Angel Studios Inc. (NYSE: ANGX) and 2521 Entertainment.
On October 8, Angel Studios, a distribution company focused on faith-based projects, and 2521 Entertainment, a film production and finance company, announced the acquisition of the David franchise from Slingshot USA. The deal includes the intellectual property rights to an upcoming animated feature about David, the biblical shepherd who defeats the warrior Goliath, as well as to the popular television series, Young David.
