City of Greeley to Conduct Full-Scale Emergency Exercise at Island Grove Regional Park

GREELEY, Colo. - The City of Greeley Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and its partners will conduct a full-scale emergency exercise on Tuesday, October 8, at Island Grove Regional Park.

The exercise will allow Greeley OEM and its partners to test emergency procedures and processes in a controlled environment. The simulated scenario will involve a mass casualty incident, requiring multiple transports to area hospitals, securing the incident scene, and coordinated communication with departments and external agencies.

Participating agencies include the Greeley Fire Department; Greeley Police Department; Greeley Culture, Parks and Recreation Department (CPRD); Banner Health; Banner/AMR Paramedics; UCHealth; American Red Cross of Colorado; Front Range Community College; North Range Behavioral Health; and Weld County Office of Emergency Management.

During the exercise, community members may notice emergency vehicles, lights, and hear sirens in the Island Grove Regional Park area.
