One-Way Traffic Controls Next Week

Mariposa County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control and shoulder closures next week on State Route-140 (SR-140) for maintenance operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Old Toll Road to Mount Ophir Road for utility work on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Road Back to Old Highway to Bear Valley Point for utility work on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

State Route 140

  • Intermittent one-way traffic control and flagging operations from Briceburg to Savage Trading Post for pavement work beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
  • One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
