Federal Jury Finds Slovakian National Guilty of Voter Fraud

Orlando, Florida - A federal jury has found Peter Holly, a 39-year-old lawful permanent resident, guilty of making a false claim of U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote and voting by an alien. Holly faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison; a sentencing date has not yet been set. He was indicted on January 28, 2026. U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe made the announcement.

According to court records, Holly, a Slovakian national, is a lawful permanent resident in the United States. He is not a United States citizen, and thus, he is ineligible to vote. Despite his ineligibility to vote, Holly registered to vote online in July 2024 and voted in a federal election on October 27, 2024. Holly knew he was not a United States citizen but claimed to be a citizen when he registered to vote in 2024. During an interview with Homeland Security Investigations, Holly admitted to registering to vote online and to voting in the 2024 national election.

This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. It is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Bianca S. Bansal.
