La Mesa Police Department Citizens' Academy 2025
Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at your police department? The La Mesa Police Department Citizens' Academy is a FREE program offering a unique, behind-the-scenes look at how we serve our community.
- Program runs: Thursdays, October 9 through November 13, 2025
- Time: 6-8:30 PM
- Location: La Mesa Police Department (8085 University Ave., La Mesa)
What to expect:
- Engaging discussions on Patrol Procedures, Traffic Investigations, Crime Scene Investigations, Community Policing, our Special Response Team and more.
- Hands-on opportunities, including a Patrol Ride-Along, a tour of the Communications Center, and Firearms Simulator Training/Scenarios.
Please note: Participants must be able to attend every class.
