City Of Las Vegas Median Island And Traffic Calming Improvements Begin June 1 In 18 Locations

Expect Temporary Lane Restrictions During Construction June-August 2026

The city of Las Vegas will begin median island and traffic calming improvements Monday, June 1, in 18 separate locations:

  • Brent Lane from Erik Lloyd Street to Skye Canyon Park Drive
  • Donald Nelson Avenue from Topaz Creek Street to Jensen Street
  • Whispering Sands Drive from Buffalo Drive to Gracious Orchard Street
  • Whispering Sands Drive from Bradley Road to Ceddoa Dawn Street
  • Ft. Apache Road at Dorrell Lane
  • Echelon Point Drive from Grand Canyon Drive to Tee Pee Lane
  • Azure Drive from Serene Drive to Rebecca Road
  • Rebecca Road from Tropical Parkway to Azure Drive
  • Bullring Lane from Bradley Road to White Meadow Street
  • Corbett Street from Leon Avenue to Bradley Road
  • El Campo Grande Avenue from Leon Avenue to Bradley Road
  • Fire Mesa Street from Trinity Peak Avenue to Peak Drive
  • Cielo Vista Avenue from Pueblo Vista Drive to Biscayne Hills Way
  • J Street from Jimmy Avenue to Lake Mead Boulevard
  • Oxford Cross Drive from Anasazi Drive to Crestdale Lane
  • Sahara Avenue at Santa Paula Drive
  • Pueblo Vista Drive from Cielo Vista Avenue to Northern School Limits
  • Crestdale Lane from Oxford Cross Drive to Northern School Limits.

Improvements will include installation of concrete median curbing for access management and U-turn prevention, asphalt speed humps and associated signing and markings. There will be temporary lane restrictions in each area during construction. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, except at the Sahara at Santa Paula Drive location, where work hours will be 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Additional work hours through August 2026 may be allowed if needed.

Unicon, LLC is the contractor. The budget for the project is $1,463,217, paid for by federal funding and the Regional Transportation Commission. For concerns during the work, call 702-372-7078 or 702-752-5975.
