The University of Rochester is taking steps to innovate its campus dining, retail, and catering programs on the River Campus and at the Eastman School of Music. University leaders and Dining Services personnel have spent the past two years evaluating the current operations model and identifying opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and greater flexibility. As a result of this evaluation, beginning July 1, 2025, the University will move to a self-operation model. As part of the move to self-operation, beginning July 1, Meliora Catering will be operated and managed directly by University Dining Services. Events scheduled to occur before July 1 will not be affected by this change and these catering bookings will proceed as currently contracted. For events currently booked or scheduled to take place after July 1, please reach out to Campus Dining directly at cateringquestions@rochester.edu to coordinate.
Further details will be provided over the coming months regarding the transition to self-operation. Any questions can be sent to universitystudentlife@rochester.edu.
