London-Dentons' cross-border M&A team in Paris and London has advised Hyve, a global organiser of B2B events and provider of content, networking and customer engagement platforms, on its acquisition of RAISE Summit, MACHINA Summit and Signal Week.
The acquisition establishes Hyve's AI SuperVertical through the addition of RAISE Summit, Europe's leading AI event, and MACHINA Summit, dedicated to physical AI and robotics. It also strengthens Hyve's fintech portfolio with the acquisition of Signal Week (formerly Paris Blockchain Week), Europe's flagship blockchain and crypto event. The transaction is Hyve's second acquisition under its Ascend30 strategy and follows its recent acquisition of LegalTechTalk, on which Dentons also advised.
Sarah Zaman, General Counsel at Hyve, commented: "This acquisition marks another important step in delivering our Ascend30 strategy and further strengthens our portfolio of specialist event brands. Having recently worked with Dentons on the acquisition of LegalTechTalk, it was a pleasure to partner with the team again. Their commercial insight and cross-border support were invaluable in helping us deliver another important transaction."
Joseph Collingwood, partner in Dentons' UK Corporate team, said: "We were pleased to advise Hyve on another significant strategic acquisition. It was a pleasure to support the Hyve team on this cross-border transaction alongside our colleagues in France, and we look forward to continuing to support Hyve as it continues to deliver on its Ascend30 strategy."
The Dentons multi-jurisdictional team was led by UK Corporate partner Joseph Collingwood and France Corporate partner Jean-Marc Grosperrin, supported Emmanuelle De Schepper, Tanit Gendre, Alexis Doise and Lily-Marie Guabe (France Corporate) and Ahmad Yasin (UK Corporate).
