The La Plata County Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution on Tuesday, January 13th establishing office hours for all county departments and offices. Office hours changed for both the Durango-La Plata County Senior Center and the Community Development Department for 2026. The Senior Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday; the Community Development Department will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Unless noted below, all other La Plata County office are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Clerk and Recorder's Motor Vehicle Division, Document Recording Unit and Elections Division, located at 679 Turner Drive, Suite C, Durango, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Clerk and Recorder's Satellite Office, Bayfield Town Hall, 1199 Bayfield Parkway, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

The Public Health Department office, 185 Suttle Street, Suite 100, and clinic, 150 Mercury Village Drive, Suite 115, 8 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
