Minister of Foreign Affairs holds a video conference with Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines

On 9 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a video conference with H.E. Ms. Maria Theresa P. Lazaro, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines and the incoming Special Envoy on Myanmar of the ASEAN Chair.

The Foreign Minister conveyed Thailand's readiness to fully support the Philippines' incoming ASEAN Chairmanship next year and Secretary Lazaro's work in her capacity as Special Envoy on Myanmar of the ASEAN Chair. Both sides exchanged views on the situation in Myanmar and looked forward to further discussions among ASEAN members during the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting Retreat (AMM Retreat) in January 2026. They also discussed the Thai - Cambodian border situation.
