The Cigna Group Names New Chief Medical Officer for Cigna Healthcare

BLOOMFIELD, Conn., January 23, 2025: Cigna Healthcare, the health benefits division of The Cigna Group (NYSE: CI), today announced that Dr. Amy Flaster has joined the organization as Chief Medical Officer. In her role, Dr. Flaster will lead Cigna Healthcare's clinical organization, implementing initiatives that improve customer experience and deliver better health outcomes.

Dr. Flaster brings extensive clinical experience to the organization, spanning patient care, public health, value-based care, technology, and clinical strategy. Above all else, Dr. Flaster is committed to ensuring patients receive high quality, affordable care. As a current practicing physician at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Dr. Flaster will continue to serve her community by delivering primary care.

Dr. Flaster will play a critical role in bringing clinical insights and expertise to Cigna Healthcare's U.S. and international clients and customers. She will ensure a high standard of quality and equity across Cigna Healthcare's offerings, leading with a customer-centric approach.

Dr. Flaster earned her M.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University and completed her Internal Medicine training at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. Most recently, she served as Chief Medical Officer for ConcertoCare, a national value-driven, home-based care provider organization, leading their clinical strategy and product organization. Prior to that, she oversaw the population health team at Health Catalyst and collaborated with providers across the U.S. to support their shift to value-based care. She previously held leadership roles at the Mass General Brigham system in Massachusetts in the areas of Medicare, Medicaid, and Employee Health. She also serves on the faculty of Harvard Medical School in Boston.
