The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 57 in Westport. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, May 26 and be completed on Friday, June 5, 2026. The project DOT01730557CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.34-mile segment of Route 57 in Westport from Route 136 to the Weston town line. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Burns Construction on Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by Tilcon Sunday, May 31 to Friday, June 5, 2026.
This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 57 from Route 136 (Compo Road South) to the Weston town line. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday night to Friday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
