September 11, 2025 - Bomb Threats in New Mexico Statement from the Republican Party of New Mexico's Chairwoman Amy Barela "A recent bomb threat against the Democrat Leaders in New Mexico is a stark reminder of the toxic and dangerous behavior that exists right here at home. Neither side that contributes to threats, intimidation, or politically motivated violence is helping our country move forward. Here in New Mexico, we have seen far too many politically motivated violent reactions. This does nothing to solve issues, and it must stop. The laws in NM for bomb threats need to be revisited as we learned back in 2023 when RPNM HQ had a bomb threat. Although law enforcement was able to track down the accused, the district attorney dropped the case. It is time we all rise above these tactics. We implore people to come together with solutions, rooted in love, kindness, and respect. Our country is stronger when we listen to each other, when we seek understanding, and when we work side by side to build a better future. Both sides believe deeply in what they stand for, whether we agree with each other or not. But progress is only made when we act with civility, listen with respect, and work together for the good of New Mexico and our nation." - Amy Barela Chairwoman, Republican Party of New Mexico ### The Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) advances the ideals of individual liberties for the advancement of its citizens and the greater prosperity of our communities throughout New Mexico.
