Rep. Bell to Attend Joint Session of Congress with Keisha Lee, CEO of Annie Malone Children & Family Services

Washington, D.C.- Today, Representative Wesley Bell (D-Mo.) announced that he will be attending tomorrow's Joint Session of Congress alongside Keisha Lee, CEO of Annie Malone Children & Family Services. Their joint appearance underscores the need to provide critical federal support for community services that have suffered from President Trump's recent proposed funding freeze and budget cuts.

"The Trump administration's proposed cuts to critical programs like Medicaid and food assistance programs will directly harm the people of St. Louis," Rep. Bell said. "These cuts are not just numbers on a spreadsheet-they mean fewer services for vulnerable families, fewer resources for children in need, and greater strain on community organizations like Annie Malone Children & Family Services. We need urgent action to not only oppose these cuts but to invest more in these critical programs-because no child should suffer just so billionaires can get another tax break."
