Sonoma County - Caltrans will begin construction on State Route 1(SR-1) in Bodega Bay beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Construction activities include Slope and Pavement repair and are scheduled to occur Monday through Friday, 7 :00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
During this time Caltrans crews will have one-way traffic control and temporary traffic signals in use on Shoreline Road/SR-1 from Bay Flat Road to Kent Avenue. The construction is expected to be complete by December 2026. The completion date may change depending on field conditions.
Monday through Friday:
7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We encourage motorists to "Slow for the Cone Zone" and please follow all traffic signals and laws.
Changeable messaging signs and detours routes will be in place.
Detours routes will be in place along Bay Hill Road.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their commute. Please "Slow for the Cone Zone" and remain alert for maintenance personnel and equipment working in the area.
