Henderson State University and the Henderson State University Foundation are pleased to announce the successful funding of a second endowed scholarship by the Black Alumni Chapter. Through the dedication and generosity of alumni and supporters, the chapter has reached a milestone of $25,000 in contributions, establishing an additional endowed scholarship that will provide ongoing financial support to future Reddies.
"This endowment is a testament to what can be accomplished when alumni come together with a shared purpose, said Tenesha Barnes ('03), BAC President. We are proud to support students not just today, but for generations to come."
Since its founding, the Black Alumni Chapter has actively supported Henderson State University and its students, building community through events, encouragement, and philanthropy. Over the past eight years, members - and many non-members - have contributed to this endowment, demonstrating what community truly looks like: alumni lifting up future generations of Reddies with pride and purpose.
With these additional dollars added to the chapter's endowment, the fund will continue to grow and positively impact students for years to come. This newest Black Alumni Chapter scholarship builds on a strong tradition of giving and reinforces the chapter's commitment to educational access and opportunity.
The endowed scholarship will be awarded in accordance with the criteria established through the Henderson State University Foundation, continuing a legacy of support that extends across generations of Reddies.
