Cottonwood–Agua Fria Intersection Improvements Begin August 24
The Public Works Department, in partnership with GM Emulsion, will begin construction of a new roundabout on Monday, August 24. This long-anticipated project will address aging infrastructure and increased traffic demand at the intersection.
Scope of Work:
The project includes roundabout intersection enhancements, dedicated bike lanes, and ADA-compliant sidewalks. These improvements are designed to reduce congestion, enhance safety, and meet New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) Level of Service (LOS) A standards. The project is expected to be completed in Summer 2027.
Traffic Impacts:
Drivers are encouraged to use caution and follow posted traffic-control measures through the work area.
