MRH&C’s Lee Cordell Named SDAHO Young Professional of the Year

MOBRIDGE, S.D. - Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics (MRH&C) is proud to recognize Lee Cordell, PharmD, Director of Pharmacy, as the recipient of the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations' (SDAHO) 2026 Young Professional of the Year Award.

Cordell was recognized during SDAHO's 100th Annual Convention, held September 16-18 in Sioux Falls. The Young Professional of the Year Award was presented as part of SDAHO's 2026 Distinguished Service Awards, which recognize individuals whose leadership, service and commitment are making a meaningful difference in healthcare and the communities they serve.

Since joining MRH&C, Cordell has helped expand the role of pharmacy within the organization, strengthening its involvement in patient safety, medication management, physician collaboration and financial stewardship. He has provided leadership for MRH&C's 340B program and played a key role in the development of the hospital's outpatient infusion center, including establishing pharmacy processes to support advanced infusion therapies and chemotherapy. These efforts have helped expand access to services that allow patients to receive more of their care closer to home.

Cordell is a graduate of South Dakota State University and holds 340B ACE certification. He also earned the national Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP) credential, becoming only the second pharmacist in South Dakota to achieve the distinction.
