Athens Public Transit and Athens On Demand Transit are now completely fare-free
Athens County Launches Countywide Fare-Free Public Transit
Athens, OH - Athens Public Transit and Athens On Demand Transit are now completely fare-free for all riders through April 2026, thanks to funding from AmeriHealth Caritas Ohio. This includes fixed-route and on-demand services across Athens County.
Riders can simply board-no cost, no ID, no qualifications required.
